Verse 1

Adyghe

Сыхьатмафэ ежьагъ Зиусхьаным щынагъо фызиӀэу, Ащ игъогумэ арыкӀорэр.

Kabardian

НасыпыфӀэщ Зиусхьэным фӀэлӀыкӀ хузиӀэу Абы и гъуэгум ирикӀуэр.

English

Except the LORD build the house, They labour in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain.

Verse 2

Adyghe

О пӀэмэ къалэжьырэр пшхыжьыщт; унасыпышӀу, шӀур уадэжь о!

Kabardian

Уи Ӏэм къалэжыр пшхыжынщ; унасыпыфӀэщ, фӀыгъуэр ууейщ уэ!

English

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: For so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Уишъуз, бжалэу зыпизым фэдэу, уиунэ исыщт; зейтун дэчъэххэу, пкъохэр уиӀанэ кӀэрысыщтых.

Kabardian

Уи фыз, бжьалэу зыпызым хуэдэу, уи унэ исынщ; зейтун къудамэ хуэдэ, уи къуэхэр уи Ӏэнэм пэрысынщ.

English

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: And the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Джаущтэу гъогу мафэ теуцощт Зиусхьаным щынагъо фызиӀэр!

Kabardian

Апхуэдэу гъуэгу махуэ теувэнщ Зиусхьэным фӀэлӀыкӀ хузиӀэр!

English

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; So are children of the youth.

Verse 5

Цион къалэм щыӀэу, Зиусхьаным ынэшӀу къыпщерэф, ущэӀэфэ мафэ къэс, Ерусэлэм ищыӀэкӀэ тхъагъо орэлъэгъу.

Kabardian

Цион къалэм щыӀэу, Зиусхьэным и нэфӀ къыпщыхуэнщ, Махуэ къэси, упсэуху, Ерусалим и щыӀэкӀэ тхъэгъуэ урелъагъу.

English

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: They shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
