Verse 1

Adyghe

Мары Адамрэ ащ къытекӀыгъэхэмрэ ятхылъ. Тхьэм цӀыфыр къызегъэшӀым, Ащ Ежь итеплъэ иӀэу къыгъэшӀыгъ.

Kabardian

Тхьэм цӀыхур къыщигъэщӀам, Тхьэм ещхьыну ар къигъэхъуащ.

English

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

Verse 2

Adyghe

Ащ хъулъфыгъэрэ бзылъфыгъэрэ къыгъэшӀыгъ, ынэшӀуи ахэмэ ащифагъ. Ахэр къызегъэшӀхэм, ахэмэ афиусыгъ – «цӀыфы».

Kabardian

ЦӀыхухъурэ бзылъхугъэу ахэр къигъэщӀащ, и нэфӀ абыхэм ящыхуэри ахэр къыщигъэщӀа махуэм цӀэуэ цӀыху яфӀищащ абыхэм.

English

male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Verse 3

Adyghe

Адам илъэсишъэрэ щэкӀырэ къыгъэшӀагъэу, ежь фэдэу, ежь итеплъэ иӀэу шъао къыфэхъугъ. Адам ащ Щэт цӀэу фиусыгъ.

Kabardian

Ӏэдэм, илъэсищэрэ щэщӀкӀэ псэуауэ, къыхуэхъуащ къуэ, езым и теплъэ иӀэу, езым ещхьу, цӀэуэ фӀищащ абы: Щэт.

English

And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

Verse 4

Щэт къызэхъум ыуж, Адам илъэс шъий къыгъэшӀэжьыгъ; ащ джыри къохэри пхъухэри къыфэхъугъэх.

Kabardian

Щэт къыхуалъхуа нэужь, Ӏэдэм илъэс щий къигъэщӀащ, къыщӀэхъуащ абы къуэхэмрэ пхъухэмрэ.

English

and the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

Илъэс шъибгъурэ щэкӀырэ къыгъашӀи, ар лӀагъэ.

Kabardian

Ӏэдэм къигъэщӀащ илъэс щибгъурэ щэщӀрэ; итӀанэ ари дунейм ехыжащ.

English

and all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
