Verse 1

УблапӀэм Тхьэм уашъомрэ чӀыгумрэ къыгъэшӀыгъэх.

Kabardian

Тхьэм япэщӀыкӀэ къигъэщӀащ уафэмрэ щӀылъэмрэ.

English

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Verse 2

Adyghe

ЧӀыгум гъэпсыкӀэ иӀагъэп ыкӀи нэкӀыгъэ, шӀункӀыр чӀэ зимыӀэм шъхьэщытыгъ; Тхьэм Ыпсэ псымэ акӀыӀу щыхьарзэщтыгъэ.

Kabardian

ЩӀылъэр зэпцӀтэкъым икӀи нэщӀт, кӀыфӀыгъэри щхьэщытт хышхуэ лъащӀэншэм; Тхьэм и Псэр щыхуарзэрт псы гущӀыӀум.

English

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Verse 3

Adyghe

Тхьэм ыӀуагъ: «Нэфынэр къэрэхъу». Нэфынэр къэхъугъ.

Kabardian

ЖиӀащ Тхьэм: – Ирехъу нэху. Нэху хъуащ.

English

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Verse 4

Adyghe

Нэфынэр зэрэдэгъур Тхьэм ылъэгъугъ; Тхьэм нэфынэр шӀункӀым къыгуигъэкӀыгъ.

Kabardian

Илъэгъуащ Тхьэм нэхугъэр зэрыфӀыр; къыхигъэкӀащ Тхьэм нэхугъэр кӀыфӀыгъэм.

English

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Verse 5

Adyghe

Нэфынэм «мафэкӀэ» Тхьэр еджагъ, шӀункӀым «чэщкӀэ» еджагъ. Пчыхьэ къэхъугъ, пчэдыжь къэхъугъ – апэрэ маф.

Kabardian

Нэхугъэм Тхьэм фӀищащ «махуэ», кӀыфӀыгъэм – «жэщ». Хъуащ жэщ, щащ нэху: ар зы махуэт.

English

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
