Verse 1

Зиусхьаным Мосэ джыри къыриӀуагъ: «Зыгорэм цур е мэлыр ытыгъоу, зышӀуибзыкӀэ е зищэкӀэ, зы цум пае цуитф, зы мэлым пае мэлиплӀ аритыжьын фае#22:1 Мы усэр ижъырэ джуртыбзэмкӀэ тхыгъэ Ӏэпэрытхым ия 21-рэ шъхьэ и 37-рэ усэу щыт..

English

If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.

Verse 2

Adyghe

Зыгорэм тыгъуакӀор унэм ихьэ пэтзэ ӀэкӀэукӀэмэ, ащ лъэу ыгъэчъагъэр къытефэщтэп.

English

If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.

Verse 3

Adyghe

Ау тыгъэр къыкъокӀыгъахэу ар хъумэ, ащыгъум лъэу ыгъэчъагъэр къытефэ. Хэтрэ тыгъуакӀуи пщынэжьын фае, ау ытыжьын имыӀэмэ, ытыгъугъэм пае ар пщылӀэу арэщ.

English

If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

Verse 4

Adyghe

Ытыгъугъэр цуми, щыдыми, мэлыми псэоу зырагъотылӀэжькӀэ, фэдитӀукӀэ нахьыбэу ыпщыныжьын фае.

English

If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

Verse 5

Зыгорэм ибылым ыгъэхъунэу ытӀупщэу, хымэ губгъом е сэнэшъхьэ хатэм лэжьыгъэр зыщыригъэшхыкӀэ, игубгъо анахьышӀоу итымкӀэ, исэнэшъхьэ хатэ анахьышӀоу дэтымкӀэ зэрарыр ыпщыныжьын фае.

English

If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
