Тхьэм Израиль Мысырым къызырещыжьым, Моси Ежь илъэпкъэу Израили апае Ащ ышӀагъэр зэкӀэ Мосэ ишӀупщэу, мыдиан къурмэнышӀэу Итрэу зэхихыгъэх.

English

When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

Verse 2

Арыти Мосэ ишӀупщэу Итрэу зыдырищэжьагъэх: Мосэ ишъузэу, ащ ыпэкӀэ ятэ дэжь къызэригъэгъэзэжьыгъэгъэхэ Циппорэрэ

English

then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,

яшъэуитӀурэ. ТӀум язым ыцӀагъэр Гъэршэм#18:3 Мы цӀэм ижъырэ джуртыбзэмкӀэ къэӀуакӀэу иӀэм имэхьанэ зыпэблагъэр «хымэ хэгъэгум щыщ» зыфиӀорэр ары., сыда пӀомэ Мосэ ыӀощтыгъ: «Сэ хымэ хэгъэгум хэхэсэу сис»;

English

and her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:

адрэм ыцӀагъэр ЕлыӀэзэр#18:4 Ижъырэ джуртыбзэмкӀэ тхыгъэ Ӏэпэрытхым мы гущыӀэм мэхьанэу щыриӀэр: «Си Тхьэ сиӀэпыӀэгъу»., сыда пӀомэ Мосэ ыӀощтыгъ: «Сятэ и Тхьэ сэ ӀэпыӀэгъоу сиӀагъ, фирхьауным ичати сыкъыӀэкӀихыжьыгъ».

English

and the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

ИшӀупщэу Итрэу Мосэ ишъузрэ ыкъуитӀурэ игъусэхэу шъоф нэкӀым, Тхьэм икъушъхьэ дэжь уцупӀэ щязгъэшӀыгъэ Мосэ дэжь къэкӀуагъ.

English

and Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:
