Adyghe

Мосэ цӀыфхэм ариӀуагъ: «Шъо Зиусхьанэу Тхьэм шъурибын. ЛӀагъэм пае шъузэрэшъыгъорэм инэшанэу зызэхэшъумыуӀыхьажь, шъушъхьаци натӀэм ышъхьагъыкӀэ щытешъумыупхъукӀ.

English

Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

Verse 2

Adyghe

Шъо шъуи Зиусхьанэу Тхьэм Ежь иунэе Ӏэхьэ лъапӀэу шъущытынэу, шъурилъэпкъынэу дунаим тет адрэ цӀыф лъэпкъ пстэуми шъукъахихыгъ.

English

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Verse 3

Adyghe

Зиусхьаным шӀоемыкӀушхор шъумышхы.

English

Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

Verse 4

Мы псэушъхьэхэр ары шъушхы хъущтыр: былымхэр, мэл-пчэнхэр,

English

These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

Verse 5

Adyghe

бланэхэр, къушъхьэпчэнхэр, шъыхьэхэр, пчэнӀэлхэр, домбайхэр, антилопэхэр, къушъхьэтӀыхэр.

English

the hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
